Carolina Pascari

Born in Chisinau, Moldova’s capital, in a lawless city in the post-comunist era: an urban jungle where crazy was the norm. The chaos and the uncertainty of those times push her toward traveling abroad.By the time she was 15 she was modeling in London, Paris and Milan. This is one of the big influences in opening her horizons and inspiring her to experiment. Travelling and discovering new cultures and pushing her to get out of her confort zone, was a crucial point in assessing her personality. She never looked back, pursuing her studies abroad as well. After achieving a degree in psychology, she obtaines a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychodiagnosis in Milan. Working with the problems of the mind was fascinating, trying to figure out the different layers of the subconscious and the depth of one’s clincal problems.

At the age of 24 she starts a path to combine psychology and art. She starts with landscapes, human body shapes, shapes and objects and learns the depth of different layers of a painting. Experimenting with different colors and textures brings her to want to follow her own path. At this point she decides that she has a deeper connection with Acrylic paint, and non toxic diluents. Healthy alternatives to Oil and Turpentine, is an important choice in her art. At first it is just an exercise to mantain a psychological balance, but it quickly evolves into a journey within the deepest and most disturbed thoughts, expressing them in abstract colors and shapes.

In each piece’s geometry there is an introspective symmetry. Blue is the predominant color in order to express a precise emotional state. Often the pieces have been inspired by psychological sessions with patients afflicted by several pathologies. The pieces are to be interpreted as a provocation, an invitation to start an introspective journey. The goal is to induce sensations and free the mind in order to favor the emergence of subconscious associations. In January 2020 she inaugurates his first exhibition “Origins of Symmetry” in Egypt with 20 large works. That is when a collaboration with the Domina Coral Bay hotel starts, which begins to include the artist's works in different structures of the hotel. In June 2022 she inaugurates an exhibition called "Digital Catharsis" in the Octagon of Santa Caterina in Cefalù with the support of the Mayor and Municipality of Cefalù, Giovanni Ciacci and The Beach Luxury Club. 24 paintings with 2 different techniques were presented at the exhibition: Alcohol ink and Acrylic paint. In August, September and October 2022 there were several group exhibitions in Milan and Genoa with the participation of the artist.
